What is a BETA?

Excellent question, my little dumpling. A beta is often the first set of eyes to rake overfirst draft manuscript. BETA readers heap authors pick up inconsistencies, flow and pace issues, and general readability before the manuscript is sent to an editor. BETA readers are VITAL.
